Thank you to everyone who shared feedback on the new song clips. (See previous blog posts here, here, here, and here for info on this process.) You not only helped me identify the “best” songs to further develop, but also helped raise over $1,000 for some great charities! A Day with my Son - Time with little ones is fun and amazing, but n-o-n-s-t-o-p! They slow down just long enough to recharge, then...back at it!

Easy goes the Day- Another song that just "happened"...relaxing at the piano.

Euro Spa - Definitely a "working title" ...written in response to a European Spa's request for ambient background music. Initially it was much slower and more ethereal, but as that's not quite my style, it has changed slightly.

First Light - Originally inspired by the work of a group of Ukranian therapists working to treat addiction in their country. Very inspiring...the concept of coming out of the dark - metaphorically, and physically - and into the light is broadly applicable, however, and I've found further inspiration on this theme through individuals fighting personal demons, soldiers putting their lives on the line for others, and even whole countries going through the challenge of shedding the evils of their past.

Little Baby Girl - Originally started as a follow-up to Stephanie's Lullaby, a baby daughter has now blessed our lives, and the song has evolved as a piece about/for her.

Lost in the Middle - A "mood" songs that just evolved sitting at the piano, looking out the window, experiencing the joy of playing, and watching the world go by.

Mala Strana - Mala Strana is the "lesser town" of Prague, one of the few major European cities to not be significantly damaged in either WWI or WWII. I've been fortunate to travel to Prague several times...thanks to such a wonderful city (and Johann Sebastian) for the inspiration!

Oregon Spring - Conceived 10+ years ago during a few trips to the beautiful Northwest US.

Pacific Sunrise - Inspired by the pianist Michael Gettel and his San Juan Suite II.

Ready to Go - Inspired by the opening theme of a local early morning radio show...time to wake up and go!

Thank you - Inspired by the people that serve us everyday...firemen, policemen, military, and the list goes on.

Seeing You with Him - The title is intended to mislead...far from being a sad song, this is about the joy I get from watching my wife and son spend time together.

River Grove Park - Inspired by time spent as a kid at a catch-all park...it was a boat dock, fishing spot, and soccer fields, a bike path, and even a place to get into a bit of trouble.

Travel Song - I don't travel as much as I might like, but my heart and brain are always desiring to travel to new unexplored locales.
